Thanking

This week we celebrate Thanksgiving. I've been thinking a lot about what this holiday is for and have come up with a few ideas... Sure, it's for yummy food and to get together with family and friends, but what is it really about? Being thankful for this awesomely wonderful country that we live in where we can believe what we want to believe and vote how we want to vote? Is that really what we celebrate anymore? I haven't felt until recently that our nation and rights to be thankful for these big things like the right to religion and choosing what is best for your family are truly under attack. Maybe that didn't come out quite right, but I am concerned for the welfare of my family and if I am dealing with these issues now, what will my kids be dealing with when they have kids? I believe that this glorious country that people from all over the world wish and hope to come to is falling apart thread by thread. I just hope that there are still things to be thankful for when my little ones are grown. As for now... I am thankful for:

My Family
My Belief in God and my right to believe in Him how I choose to believe in Him
My Husband
My Little Lu
My Home
My Right to vote how I WANT to vote and not how people feel that I SHOULD vote... not that anyone has... yet.
