I don't think 6am is going to happen

Last night I went into Mike's work (because he was working late) to hang out with him. I got there about 12:10am or so. When I got there he said that he would be finished in a couple hours. I decided then to stay and hang out so he wouldn't have to bum a ride home. I hung out in the chair next to his edit console, then moved to the couch and hung out there, then lay down on the couch and started to fall asleep. Mike put his coat over me and got some company tee shirts to rest my head on. I woke up not knowing just how long I had dozed off for. I asked him what time it was and he said 3:30am. I asked him how much longer he was going to be and he said he didn't know. So, I fell back to sleep. I figured that there wasn't any point in me trying to drive home now and anyway, driving tired is worse than driving drunk, right?

The next time I woke up it was 5:17am. Well, 3 more minutes and I will have been out of bed for 24 hours! I was kind of awake at that point, so I sat up and watched Mike edit for a bit. Those that don't know what Mike does for a living... he owns his own business. It's a post facility in downtown SLC and he uses his brilliant Editing skills to make gads of money! Anyway, as I sat there trying to figure out what this person on the television was talking about I noticed that the person looked like he had a twin right next to him. I am really tired now. I thought. So, I went over to Mike’s ipod to scroll through the music so I could listen to something. Mike asked if I wanted to watch an episode of Battlestar Galactica to entertain myself while I waited. I was all over that. I hooked up headphones and parked myself on the couch again. I started watching my favorite episode of the 2nd season and fell asleep again. When I woke up it was on the second to last episode of the 2nd season, then I fell back to sleep again. There was something comforting about listening to this show and having all the background noise cancelled out. I woke up again, when Mike pulled the headphones off my head and said that he was just about finished. I looked at the avid and noticed that it was indeed recording something.

You know when you fall asleep in strange places, you did fall asleep, but it just didn't really feel like you were asleep. I looked at the clock and it was 8:21am. I had been there all night and Mike had been there for a full 24 hours. We finally left his office at 8:40am and drove over to Village Inn. We were already both awake (kind of), so why not get breakfast. We got home at about 9:45, crawled into bed and didn't wake up until 3:30 this afternoon. Well, there goes my Saturday! I had all these things planned for today, but oh well. I did manage to clean the kitchen and Mike is working in the yard right now. So, I guess that’s something. As for my 6am arrival to work on Monday morning... I guess it depends on how late I get to bed tonight and tomorrow night, but it's not looking to good.
